This terminal is one of the few locations in the area with the capability to handle 40-ton steel coils. Located in the heart of Chattanooga, TN at mile mark 467 on the Tennessee River, Centre South Riverport offers easy access to true intermodal transportation.

Products Handled: General cargoes including steel coils, wire rod coils, steel beams, bagged cargoes, bulk fertilizer, steel plate, sand and aggregates, and bark.

Storage: Open, 12 acres

 

Barges Handled: Two worked

Handling Equipment: Manitowoc 4000 crawler (150 ton) for hook work up to 40 net tons; Manitowoc 4100 crawler (230 ton) for hook work up to 60 net tons; 185-foot conveyor/radial stacker for loading and unloading bulk materials; Taylor forklift trucks with capacities of 40 net tons and 17.5 net tons; Kawasaki 85Z1Z loader. Bobcat Sc300; additional equipment is available upon request.

Connections: Nine-car rail siding serviced by Norfolk Southern; easy truck access to Interstates 24, 75 and 59.

Centre South Riverport, located in Chattanooga on the Tennessee River offers access to Interstates 24, 75 and 59 and rail service provided by NS. The 12-acre facility can work two barges at a time.
