McAlpine Locks & Dam: Lock Chamber Closures

McAlpine Locks and Dam (Ohio River Mile 606.8): In support of the Cannelton main lock chamber miter gate replacement project, both chambers at McAlpine Locks and Dam (North/River and South/Land) will have alternating closure starting Monday, 22 August 2022 to allow the Heavy Capacity Fleet to store and move miter gates. The chambers will be returned to service daily once crane activities complete for the day, we anticipate completing the work Friday, 26 August 2022.

 

During this time, one of the chambers will remain open to traffic at all times. All mariners should take direction from the McAlpine Lock Tower.
