Mississippi River and Gulf Intracoastal Waterways-INHC Lock & Algiers Lock

Commencing on approximately 3 June 2023, the U.S. Government Contract Cutterhead Dredge CAPTAIN FRANK will begin working in the forebay of the Inner Harbor Navigation Canal (IHNC) Lock.
After completing dredging operations at IHNC Lock, the dredge will move to Algiers Lock and work in the forebay through approximately 11 June 2023.
The Dredge will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and the dredged material will be deposited through floating pipelines into deep water of the Mississippi River.
The Dredge will be monitoring VHF channels 16 and 67.
Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
