Mississippi River Deep Draft Crossing (update)

Reference Navigation Bulletin No. 22-51, dated 5 May 2022, stating that the U.S. Government Contract Dustpan Dredge WALLACE McGEORGE will be working at the Mississippi River Deep Draft Crossings between Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Louisiana, until approximately 30 September 2022.
MARINERS ARE ADVISED THAT THE DREDGING OPERATIONS HAVE BEEN EXTENDED THROUGH APPROXIMATELY 31 OCTOBER 2022.
The dredge will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will give way to vessels using the waterway. The dredge can be contacted on either VHF channel 16 or 67 for sailing instructions.
Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
