Mississippi River-Deep Draft Crossings

Commencing on or about 21 May 2023 and continuing until approximately 15 November 2023, the U.S. Government Contract Dustpan Dredge WALLACE McGEORGE will be working at the Mississippi River Deep Draft Crossings between Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Louisiana.

The first dredging location will be at Alhambra Crossing, at approximate mile 190.5 AHP of the Mississippi River.

The Dredge will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will give way to vessels using the waterway.  The Dredge can be contacted on either VHF channel 16 or 67 for sailing instructions.

Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
