Mississippi River Mile 10.5 AHP RDB-Vicinity of the Venice Jump

Effective immediately and continuing until approximately 31 October 2022, a U.S. Government Maintenance will be working in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Venice Boat Slip, located near the intersection of the Venice Jump and the Mississippi River at approximate mile 10.5 Above Head of Passes (AHP) on the Right Descending Bank (RDB).
The Maintenance Unit will be working on the Venice Boat Slip sheet piling bulkhead, welding braces for tie backs and bumpers.
The Maintenance Unit, consisting of pontoon barges and the Support Tug M/V BIENVILLE, will work, at times, at the entrance of the Venice Boat Slip during daylight hours, Mondays through Thursdays, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and can be contacted on either VHF Marine Channel 13, 67, or 16, and at (337) 523-9248.
MARINERS ARE URGED TO TRANSIT AT THEIR SLOWEST SAFE SPEED TO PREVENT ANY WAKE AND PROCEED WITH CAUTION WHEN IN THE VICINITY OF THE ENTRANCE TO THE VENICE BOAT SLIP.
