MISSISSIPPI RIVER, SOUTHWEST PASS, PASS A LOUTRE, & SOUTH PASS

Commencing on approximately 7 October 2022 and continuing through approximately 7 February 2023, the U.S. Government Contract Cutterhead Dredge EW ELLEFSEN will be working at the Head of Passes (mile 0), extending into the Mississippi River, Southwest Pass, Pass A Loutre, and South Pass.

Dredged material will be deposited through a combination of floating and submerged pipelines into designated placement areas on the east and west sides of the Mississippi River.

The Dredge will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can be contacted on VHF Marine Channel 67 for sailing instructions.

Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
