NAVIGATION BULLETIN NO. 23-95, 26 JULY 2023, MISSISSIPPI RIVER - SUBAQUEOUS STONE PLACEMENT MM 321.8 AND MM 325.0 AHP LDB (UPDATE)

Reference Navigation Bulletin No. 23-89, dated 10 July 2023, stating that a U.S. Government Contractor will be placing subaqueous stone along the Left Descending Bank (LDB) of the Mississippi River at approximate miles 321.8 and 325.0 Above Head of Passes (AHP) through approximately 29 July 2023.

MARINERS ARE ADVISED THAT THE SUBAQUEOUS STONE PLACEMENT WORK HAS BEEN EXTENDED THROUGH APPROXIMATELY 12 AUGUST 2023.

The Contractor will work 7 days a week, 10 hours a day, during daylight hours, and the plant will include a spud barge with hydraulic backhoe.  An office barge and various material barges will be on-site, staged along the river at this location.

During nighttime hours, the Contractor will be staged along the Left Descending Bank (LDB) out of the Mississippi River Channel.

Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
