Missouri River Update

The above-normal temperatures over the last 10 days in combination with rain yesterday near Omaha weakened the ice cover near Omaha at river mile 628 to the point it has started to flow downstream. Stream gages starting at Omaha have begun to rise due to both the recent rains and the ice moving downstream. Gavins Point releases are still at 12 kcfs and are forecasted to remain there over the next 14 days.
