Notice is given to mariners that Mike Hooks’ pipeline dredge E. Stroud will begin maintenance dredging operations in the Mobile River near the grain elevator the week of 7 May 2023. The dredge will be placing material in the upland disposal areas adjacent to the channel. Dredging activities are expected to continue for one month. The dredge can be contacted on VHF Channels 13 and 16. For further information, please contact the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Irvington Site Office at (251) 957-6019.

Mariners should exercise extreme caution when transiting these areas.
