Navigation Bulletin No. 22-101: Mississippi River and Southwest Pass (update)

Reference Navigation Bulletin No. 22-78, dated 8 July 2022, stating that the U.S. Government Contract Hopper Dredge TERRAPIN ISLAND will be working in Southwest Pass from Head of Passes (mile 0) to approximately mile 22 Below Head of Passes (BHP), and in the Mississippi River from Head of Passes to approximately mile 13 Above Head of Passes (AHP) through approximately 15 August 2022.
MARINERS ARE ADVISED THAT THE DREDGING OPERATIONS HAVE BEEN EXTENDED AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH APPROXIMATELY 10 SEPTEMBER 2022.
The Dredge will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can be contacted on either VHF channel 67 or 16 for sailing instructions.
Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
