NAVIGATION BULLETIN NO. 22-76, 8 JULY 2022, GULF INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY (MORGAN CITY-PORT ALLEN ALT RTE) & MISSISSIPPI RIVER – PORT ALLEN LOCK

Mariners are advised that there will be intermittent delays to navigation (up to 8 hours) beginning on approximately 10 July 2022 and continuing through approximately 14 July 2022, due to the U.S. Government Dustpan Dredge HURLEY working in the Port Allen Lock Forebay.
The dredge will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will deposit dredged material into deep water of the Mississippi River. The dredge can be contacted on VHF Marine Channels 16 and 67 for sailing instructions.
Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
