NAVIGATION BULLETIN NO. 24-79_ATCHAFALAYA RIVER – STOUT’S PASS (UPDATE)

Reference Navigation Bulletin No. 24-72, dated 12 June 2024, stating that the U.S. Government Dustpan Dredge JADWIN will work at Stout’s Pass from approximately Mile 111.0 to Mile 117.0 of the Atchafalaya River through approximately 4 July 2024.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, MARINERS ARE ADVISED THAT THE U.S. GOVERNMENT DUSTPAN DREDGE JADWIN HAS COMPLETED WORKING AT STOUT’S PASS.

THE DREDGE WILL NOW MOVE TO BERWICK BAY HARBOR AND WORK ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE HARBOR, FROM 1 JULY 2024 THROUGH APPROXIMATELY 14 JULY 2024, BETWEEN APPROXIMATELY MILE 120 AND MILE 121 OF THE ATCHAFALAYA RIVER.

The dredge will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will give way to vessels using the waterway.

Mariners should contact the dredge on VHF Marine Channels 13 and 16 for sailing instructions.

Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
