MILE 1.5 TO GULF OF MEXICO
JETTY STONE PLACEMENT (UPDATE)

Reference Navigation Bulletin No. 21-15, dated 1 February 2021, stating that a U.S. Government Contractor will be placing stone along the East and West Jetties of the Calcasieu River (mile 1.5 to the Gulf of Mexico) through approximately 22 February 2021.

 

DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE STONE PLACEMENT WORK HAS BEEN DELAYED AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH APPROXIMATELY 5 MARCH 2021.

 

The Contractor will work 7 days a week, 12 hours a day, between 0700 and 1900 hours. The plant will include a spud barge with hydraulic backhoe. An office barge and various material barges will also be on-site, staged along the river.

Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements
