Reference Navigation Bulletin No. 22-13, dated 15 February 2022, stating that a U.S. Government Contractor will be placing jetty stone along both the East and West Jetties of the Calcasieu River from approximate mile 1.5 to the Gulf of Mexico through approximately 31 March 2022.

 

MARINERS ARE ADVISED THAT THE JETTY STONE PLACEMENT WORK HAS BEEN EXTENDED THROUGH APPROXIMATELY 30 APRIL 2022.  

 

The Contractor will work 7 days a week, 12 hours a day, between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., and the plant will include an anchor barge with hydraulic backhoe.  An office barge and various material barges will be on-site, staged along the river at this location.

 

The M/V BLUE DIAMOND can be contacted on VHF channels 9, 16 and 68.

 

Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
