NOTICE NUMBER: 19109 / MVN 22-12
EFFECTIVE DATE: 03/15/2022 07:00 thru 03/27/2022 17:00 CDT

 

Reference Navigation Bulletin No. 22-27, dated 14 March 2022, stating that a U.S. Government Contractor will  be placing subaqueous stone along the Right Descending Bank (RDB) of the Mississippi River at approximate mile 255.5 Above Head of Passes (AHP) through approximately 22 March 2022.

 

MARINERS ARE ADVISED THAT THE SUBAQUEOUS STONE PLACEMENT WORK HAS BEEN EXTENDED THROUGH APPROXIMATELY 27 MARCH 2022.

 

The Contractor will work 7 days a week, 10 hours a day, during daylight hours, and the plant will include an anchor barge with hydraulic backhoe. An office barge and various material barges will be on-site, staged along the river at this location.

 

During nighttime hours, the Contractor will be staged along the Left Descending Bank (LDB) out of the Mississippi River Channel.

Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
