A new, large warehouse is now open at the Port of Caddo-Bossier after a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday, June 30.
The new warehouse will help two companies expand their operations at the port. The project is a joint venture between the port, the Red River Waterway Commission, and the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD). A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday morning at 4000 Doug Attaway Blvd.
Developers say they broke ground on the warehouse before the pandemic started, but now, it’s ready for full use.

"We broke ground on this project before COVID occurred and we endured all the setbacks," said Eric England, Executive Director for the Port. "This is a huge day for us to finally bring this project to completion and have our customer within it operating creating jobs moving more cargo through the Port."
"The new warehouse will equip Odyssey Logistics, Ternium and our other customers to be better prepared for whatever market issues of Mother Nature can throw at us," said Walter Bigby Jr., President of the Port of Caddo-Bossier Commission. "Tenants can ramp-up inventory levels ahead of any worldwide or national transportation supply chain disruptions, thus making them more efficient and profitable."
In March, Odyssey expanded their current Port operations giving them a total of 310,000 square feet of warehouse space.
This warehouse space is also housing Ternium USA. In Dec. 2021, Ternuim announced that they will be expanding their facility.
This expansion will be a $98 million investment, that will retain 157 jobs and will create 35 new direct jobs.
"The forward-thinking of the Port team demonstrates their understanding of their tenants' needs," said Renee Lapeyrolerie, Commissioner for LaDOTD's Office of Multimodal Commerce.
The new facility is located at 4000 Doug Attaway Boulevard and is accessible via rail and truck.
