Reference Navigation Bulletin No. 22-135, dated 25 October 2022, stating that the U.S. Government Contract Cutterhead Dredge MIKE HOOKS will be working in the New Orleans Harbor through approximately 7 November 2022.
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, MARINERS ARE ADVISED THAT THE DREDGING OPERATIONS HAVE BEEN EXTENDED THROUGH APPROXIMATELY 13 NOVEMBER 2022.
The dredge will work 24 hours a day, and dredged material will be deposited through floating pipelines into deep water of the Mississippi River.
The dredge will be monitoring VHF channels 16 and 67.
Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
