Notice of Public Meeting: 2021 Ohio River Basin Inspection Tour

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Great Lakes & Ohio River Division (LRD), will hold a VIRTUAL 2021 Ohio River Basin Inspection Tour (ORBIT). The intent of these engagements is to provide an opportunity to meet with our senior leadership, including the LRD Division Commander, Division Directors and District Commanders. In addition to our team members, we will also receive valuable insight and perspectives from the Ohio River Basin Alliance (ORBA). There will be plenty of opportunities for open discussion and Q&A. All sessions listed below will be conducted via WEBEX and each daily engagement will occur from 0830 EST – 1230 EST. Link and access information is below.

DAILY FOCUS AREAS (Participants may engage in as many sessions as they would like, contingent upon topics of interest.)

Monday 13 SEP: Montgomery Lock, Navigation, Infrastructure, Major Rehabilitation and New Construction. Host for this day is the Pittsburgh District (POC Elaine.Lisk@usace.army.mil )

Tuesday 14 SEP: Flood Risk Management, Levee Challenges, Movement of Commodities and Abundant Clean Water. Host for this day is the Huntington District. (POC Lacy.Ward@usace.army.mil )

Wednesday 15 SEP: Movement of Commodities, Routine Operations & Maintenance, Levee Challenges, Metro Louisville Levee, Ecosystem Restoration and Recreation. Host for this day is the Louisville District. (POC Anne.Mulhall@usace.army.mil )

Thursday 16 SEP: Kentucky Lock & Dam, Flood Risk Management of Cumberland System, Asian Carp Control at Barkley and Knowledge-Informed Decision Making. Host for this day is the Nashville District. (POC Ashley.A.Fuentes@usace.army.mil )
