SECTION I – SPECIAL NOTICES

This section contains information of special concern to the Mariner.

 

ARKANSAS RIVER - L/D’S CLOSURES/DIVE OPERATIONS

Attached as an enclosure to this LNM, is a USACE Tulsa District Notice to Navigation Interests 2022-2, regarding L/D’s closures/dive operations.

                       

SECTION VII – GENERAL

This section contains information of general concern to the Mariners. Mariners are advised to use caution while transiting these areas.

 

ARKANSAS RIVER

MILE 176.9 - L/D CLOSURE

On April 27, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., the Arthur V. Ormond L/D (Nr. 9), in the vicinity of Mile 176.9, will be closed to navigation traffic for maintenance.  If the work is completed ahead of schedule, the lock will reopen at that time. However, unforeseen problems could require additional time.  Mariners may contact the USACE Little Rock District Office, at (501) 324-5096 or you may email ceswl-op-om@usace.army.mil, for additional information.

MILE 155.9 - L/D CLOSURE

On April 26, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., the Toad Suck Ferry L/D (Nr. 8), in the vicinity of Mile 155.9, will be closed to navigation traffic for maintenance.  If the work is completed ahead of schedule, the lock will reopen at that time. However, unforeseen problems could require additional time.  Mariners may contact the USACE Little Rock District Office, at (501) 324-5096 or you may email ceswl-op-om@usace.army.mil, for additional information.
