Severe Weather Threat for April 4-5, 2022

 

Good morning Shreveport partners,

...Severe Thunderstorms Likely Monday Evening Through Tuesday Morning...

Timing and Overview:

  • A line of strong to severe thunderstorms will move into Southeast Oklahoma and East Texas Monday evening before spreading eastward into Louisiana and Southern Arkansas after midnight.
  • Thunderstorms will continue into Southern Arkansas and Northeast/North Central Louisiana during the daytime hours of Tuesday, but the severe weather threat will greatly diminish after sunrise.

Impacts:

  • Isolated tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail.
  • Locally heavy rainfall could result in isolated flooding.
