NAVIGATION BULLETIN NO. 22-71, 23 JUNE 2022, ATCHAFALAYA RIVER - SUBAQUEOUS STONE PLACEMENT MILE 14.0 LDB (UPDATE)
Reference Navigation Bulletin No. 22-44, dated 25 April 2022, stating that a U.S. Government Contractor will be placing subaqueous stone along the Left Descending Bank (LDB) of the Atchafalaya River at mile 14.0 through approximately 30 June 2022.
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, MARINERS ARE ADVISED THAT THE SUBAQUEOUS STONE PLACEMENT WORK HAS BEEN COMPLETED.

AMENDMENT - Subaqueous Stone Placement - Atchafalaya River - Mile 14.0 LDB

Reference Navigation Bulletin No. 22-20, dated 7 March 2022, stating that a U.S. Government Contractor will be placing subaqueous stone along the Left Descending Bank (LDB) of the Atchafalaya River at mile 14.0 until approximately 30 April 2022.
MARINERS ARE ADVISED THAT THE SUBAQUEOUS STONE PLACEMENT WORK HAS BEEN EXTENDED THROUGH APPROXIMATELY 30 JUNE 2022.
The Contractor will work 7 days a week, 10 hours a day, during daylight hours, and the plant will include an anchor barge with hydraulic backhoe. An office barge and various material barges will be on-site, staged along the river at this location. During nighttime hours, the Contractor will be staged along the Left Descending Bank (LDB) out of the Atchafalaya River Channel.
The M/V MISS NINA can be contacted on VHF channels 13, 16 and 78. Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
