Navigation Notice: Gulf and Intracoastal Waterways

EXTENDED- Calcasieu River Bar Channel- Dredge Columbia

DATE: Extended through April 14, 2022

Reference Navigation Bulletin No. 21-141, dated 22 December 2021, stating that the U.S. Government Contract Hopper Dredge TERRAPIN ISLAND (or the U.S. Government Contract Hopper Dredge COLUMBIA) will be working in the Calcasieu River Bar Channel from Mile -1.7 to Mile -10.0 until approximately 4 February 2022.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, THE DREDGE COLUMBIA, CURRENTLY WORKING IN THE CALCASIEU RIVER BAR CHANNEL FROM MILE -1.7 TO MILE -20.0, HAS EXTENDED ITS OPERATIONS UNTIL APPROXIMATELY 14 APRIL 2022.

The Dredge will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will give way to passing navigation.  The Dredge can be contacted on either VHF channel 13 or 16 for sailing instructions.

Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.

CALCASIEU RIVER BAR CHANNEL

Commencing on approximately 26 December 2021 and continuing until approximately 4 February 2022, the U.S. Government Contract Hopper Dredge TERRAPIN ISLAND (or the U.S. Government Contract Hopper Dredge COLUMBIA) will be working in the Calcasieu River Bar Channel from Mile -1.7 to Mile -10.0.
