Date: This rule is effective without actual notice from 12:01 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on January 27, 2022. For the purposes of enforcement, actual notice will be used from January 24, 2022, until 12:01 a.m. on January 27, 2022.

 

Temporary final rule.

 

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary, 500-yard radius, moving security zone for certain Liquefied Natural Gas Carrier (LNGC) within the Corpus Christi Ship Channel and La Quinta Channel. The security zone is needed to protect the vessel and the marine environment from potential hazards created by Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) cargo aboard the vessel. Entry of vessels or persons into the zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port Sector Corpus Christi or a designated representative.
