IRCA: Ice Conditions Update IW
Ice conditions have caused LaGrange Lock to no longer be able to pull cuts northbound - a helper boat is required. Ice is beginning to form below the lock chamber but for now they are still able to pull southbound cuts. Please see below and attached for more information.

Here is the updated slide for recent changes to conditions on the Illinois Waterway. Significant 2-3” ice has stacked up on LaGrange Lock and has stopped their ability to pull cuts northbound and a helper boat is required. Ice is beginning to form below the lock chamber but for now they are still able to pull southbound cuts.
