01/16/22 Starved Rock is building an ice shelf on their left descending lock wall that is 2’ thick. As a result, we are putting a 105’ width restriction in place as well as requiring helper boat to pull cuts both directions.
01/15/22 Little changes today from last update with the exception of ice has increased on Peoria’s upper end though it doesn’t seem to be impacting operations. A note of good news is as of last evening the queue list at LaGrange has gotten to the point where the Logsdon’s boat is having to work both ends as helper boat due to the unavailability of boats on the lower end since they are on their tows waiting to go through. This may mean slower lockage times as they work to clear out that last northbound group.
