Notice to Navigators: Lower Mississippi River
NAVIGATION BULLETIN NO. 22-27_MISSISSIPPI RIVER - SUBAQUEOUS STONE PLACEMENT MILE 255.5 AHP RDB
Commencing on or about 15 March 2022 and continuing through approximately 22 March 2022, a U.S. Government Contractor will be placing subaqueous stone along the Right Descending Bank (RDB) of the Mississippi River at approximate mile 255.5 Above Head of Passes (AHP).
The Contractor will work 7 days a week, 10 hours a day, during daylight hours, and the plant will include an anchor barge with hydraulic backhoe. An office barge and various material barges will be on-site, staged along the river at this location.
During nighttime hours, the Contractor will be staged along the Left Descending Bank (LDB) out of the Mississippi River Channel.

Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
