SCHOONER BAYOU CONTROL STRUCTURE (UPDATE)

Reference Navigation Bulletin No. 22-28, dated 14 March 2022, stating that commencing on 15 March 2022 at 6:00 a.m., and every 2 hours on the even hours, until 6:00 p.m. every day, mariners are advised that Schooner Bayou Control Structure will go into a restricted locking procedure until further notice due to low water and high salinity.
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, MARINERS ARE ADVISED THAT THE RESTRICTED LOCKING PROCEDURES HAVE BEEN LIFTED AND THE CONTROL STRUCTURE HAS RESUMED NORMAL OPERATIONS.

NAVIGATION BULLETIN NO. 22-28_SCHOONER BAYOU CONTROL STRUCTURE
Commencing at 6:00 a.m. on 15 March 2022 and continuing until further notice, mariners are advised that Schooner Bayou Control Structure will go into a restricted locking procedure because of low water and high salinity.
The restricted procedure will consist of locking vessels starting at 6:00 a.m., every 2 hours on the even hours, until 6:00 p.m. every day.
Only outboards and light vessels will be locked through the structure. All tows must use Leland Bowman Lock as an alternate route.
