Notice to Navigators: Pipeline Dredging

Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, Texas, High Island to Rollover and Bolivar Flare,
North Ferry Terminal, Bolivar, TX

NOTICE NUMBER: 19369
EFFECTIVE: 04/6/2022 thru 5/6/22

 

The Dredge “Ranger” (Inland Dredging Company, LLC) will commence dredging operations approximately 6 April 2022 at the North Ferry Landing in Bolivar. Contractor’s related floating plant (barges, tugs crew boats, survey boat, and skiffs) including submerged and floating pipeline are being used in/around this work area. The contractor’s floating and submerged lines will extend north into Placement Area 43. Expected completion date is 6 May 2022.

Mariners are requested to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.

Dredging operations are continuous, 24 hrs., 7 days, unless otherwise noted.

Dredge contractor monitors channel 16 and 79 on marine VHF radio, respective dredges should be contacted for coordination of passing and movement near operations.
