Notice to Navigators: Red River

Red River Navigation Update

 

Pool Levels:

Shreveport Gage: Currently 16.3' and projected to fall to 15.8' on Saturday, 23 April. (Pool is 14.0')

Coushatta Gage: Currently 25.0' and projected to stay flat to 25.0' on Saturday, 23 April. (Pool is 24.2')

Grand Ecore Gage: Currently 21.3' and projected to stay flat to 21.3' on Saturday, 23 April. (Pool is 20')

Alexandria Gage: Currently 21.0' and projected to stay flat to 20.7' on Saturday, 23 April. (pool is 19')

ACME Gage: Currently 32.5' and projected to rise to 34.4' on Saturday, 23 April.

Red River Landing: Currently 47.8' and projected to rise to 51.0' on Tuesday, 26 April.

 

River levels have remained constant and should allow the dikes to self clean the channel.

 

Siltation: Tows are requested to monitor siltation, at lock approaches, as the river falls, and report any sign of problems.
