BLACK WARRIOR RIVER - TOMBIGBEE WATERWAY

 

MILE 400.0 - MILE 398.0 - STRUCTURE DEMOLITION OPERATIONS

Alabama Power Company (APC) is demolishing the Plant Gorgas facility located on the Black Warrior River near Goodsprings, AL. APC plans to blast structures on January 29, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., located between Copeland Bend, Mile 400.0 and Payne Bend, Mile 398.0. Marine Police will be on location to coordinate with local vessels during the demolition. Mariners are requested to transit this area with extreme caution during the listed times.
