Date: This rule is effective without actual notice from April 5, 2022, through May 1, 2022. For the purposes of enforcement, actual notice will be used from March 30, 2022, until April 5, 2022.

 

Temporary final rule.

 

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for all navigable waters in the Upper Mississippi River at Mile Markers (MM) 172.0-172.3. The safety zone is needed to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from all potential hazards associated with electrical line work. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port Sector Upper Mississippi River (COTP) or a designated representative.
