Ohio Maritime Plan – Ohio River Stakeholder Input Virtual Meetings (3/4 and 3/6)

Ohio River Maritime System Stakeholders,

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is inviting Ohio River based stakeholders to attend one of two virtual forums to give additional input into the development of its freight-based Ohio Maritime Plan (OMP).  The OMP is the first comprehensive freight-based plan developed by ODOT for Ohio’s maritime transportation system (MTS), consisting of more than 700 navigable miles along Lake Erie and Ohio River waterways, and representing the eighth-largest system by maritime tonnage in the country.  The purpose of this event is to engage with and gather feedback from stakeholders whose work involves or is impacted by the Ohio MTS.  The input received will be used to help inform the final draft plan and the recommendation of action to be made therein. Topics will include:

  • An overview of the Ohio Maritime Plan
  • Discussion surrounding the Plan’s Proposed Action Strategies

o   Planning

o   Operations & Maintenance

o   Innovation & Technology

o   System Investment

o   Coordination & Partnerships

Your input is important !  Please RSVP to join us on either Tuesday, March 4th 9:30-10:30am OR Thursday, March 6th 1:30-2:30pm.  More information regarding the meeting is contained in the attached flyer.  Feel free to share with important stakeholders in your networks!
