Old River Lock - Forebay Dredging Operations

Commencing on or about 18 August 2022 and continuing until further notice, the U.S. Government Contract Cutterhead Dredge CAPTAIN FRANK will perform dredging operations at Old River Lock Forebay and work back towards Old River Lock.
The Dredge will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and dredged material will be deposited into deep water in the Mississippi River via a floating pipeline.
Mariners should contact the Dredge on VHF marine channels 13 and 16, and the Old River Lock on VHF marine channel 14 when approaching the Old River Lock Forebay area.
Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
