Old River Lock Update

Reference Navigation Bulletin No. 23-28, dated 17 March 2023, stating that intermittent delays to navigation (up to 12 hours) during daylight hours, between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., at Old River Lock have been extended through 24 March 2023 for testing of the Lock Crane and Emergency Bulkhead System.

MARINERS ARE ADVISED THAT THE DELAYS TO NAVIGATION (UP TO 12 HOURS) DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS, BETWEEN 6:30 A.M. AND 6:30 P.M., HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED TO COMMENCE ON OR ABOUT 29 MARCH 2023 AND CONTINUE THROUGH 31 MARCH 2023.

The testing of the Lock Crane and Emergency Bulkhead System work will be performed by Lock Personnel and a U.S. Government Contractor.
