OmniTrax will Begin Serving New Transload Facility in Alabama

OmniTRAX Inc. subsidiary Alabama & Tennessee River Railway (ATN) will begin serving a new transloading facility in Ohatchee, Alabama.

Angler Rail Service, a division of Angler Recycling, is building the facility on a 46-acre site, according to OmniTRAX’s LinkedIn page. The facility is expected to open next month.

The facility will have room for more than 30 rail cars and offer connections to CSX and Norfolk Southern Railway via ATN. The site will be ready for additional development and track infrastructure beyond the existing rail-car spots, OmniTRAX officials said in a brochure.

ATN operates 120 miles of track in north-central Alabama.
