One Way Traffic Required on Ohio River, RM 967 & 976

All mariners are advised of reduced channel width due to low water conditions on the Ohio River between Mile Marker 967 and 976.

Mariners shall implement an one-way scheme and make passing arrangements to avoid meeting or overtaking in this area.

CURRENT PLAN:

  1. Southbound Tows larger than 9 total barges are restricted to daylight hour transits only.
  2. Mariners shall transit the area with caution and should stay within the channel parked by physical and AIS aids to navigation after reviewing the latest Army Corps of Engineers Survey.

This will continue to broadcast until cancelled on VHF CH 22A four times a day.
