Paducah-McCracken’s ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sales and marketing in the maritime industry. He or she will be a strong relationship builder who has that “it” factor it takes to grow revenue. He or she will work to build relationships not just locally but within a 250-mile radius of Paducah to move the needle in terms of business development.
The ideal candidate will be professional and analytical. He or she will be a self-starter who takes satisfaction in building a repeatable sales process and sales infrastructure which works like a machine to constantly find opportunities. He or she will enjoy building a brand and take satisfaction in building an organization. As he or she has success in growing revenue, the ideal candidate will work with Paducah’s supportive board to add infrastructure and talent necessary to build upon his or her vision to contually grow the port.
The ideal candidate will have strong contacts within the steamship industry and will leverage those contacts to pursue business development for container on barge opportunities.
