Parts Counter Sales Associate Essential Functions
- Takes orders for equipment parts by telephone or in-person
- Assists customers in identifying the correct part(s)
- Processes the order(s) in a timely and efficient manner
- Communicates with customers if delays occur in receiving part(s)
- Exhibits a highly professional customer service attitude
- Actively works with customers to solve problems and follows through with appropriate solutions
- Exhibits professional demeanor in dress, speech, and behavior
- Performs assignments as directed by management
- Adheres to company policies and procedures
- Follows all company safety rules, policies, and procedures
Parts Counter Sales Associate Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- One (1) year of parts ordering experience is preferred, preferably in the heavy equipment industry
- Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applications
- Basic knowledge and familiarity with various construction equipment and operating systems, such as hydraulic and electrical systems
- Knowledge of and experience with parts reference sources and materials such as manufacturer manuals, books, microfiche, internet, and the ability to effectively use such materials to ensure correct parts ordering
Parts Counter Sales Associate Physical Requirements
- Pushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead
- Physical ability to stand and walk throughout the workday
- Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition
