Port Terminal Railroad–Mount Vernon Now Provides Switching Services

The Ports of Indiana is known for its sustainable, world-class infrastructure and best-in-class operations. Rail switching operations and services are no exception.

 

Ports of Indiana-Mount Vernon has a new rail switching operator. POI’s common carrier railroad, dba Port Terminal Railroad–Mount Vernon, is operated by Squaw Creek Southern Railroad.  Port Terminal Railroad now provides rail switching services at the Port and has established standards and best practices. It works with customers to meet needs, troubleshoot and provide excellent customer service.

 

The Port Terminal Railroad is committed to improving operational standards, efficiencies and customer service, while also having a future development-minded focus to meet Port growth and rail infrastructure needs. This valuable rail infrastructure continues to deliver directly to our customers’ doors.
