NAVIGATION BULLETIN NO. 22-69, 17 JUNE 2022, ATCHAFALAYA RIVER - SUBAQUEOUS STONE PLACEMENT MILE 45.5 RDB

Commencing on or about 21 June 2022 and continuing until approximately 15 September 2022, a U.S. Government Contractor will be placing subaqueous stone along the Right Descending Bank (RDB) of the Atchafalaya River at mile 45.5.

The Contractor will work 7 days a week, 10 hours a day, during daylight hours, and the plant will include an anchor barge with hydraulic backhoe.

An office barge and various material barges will be on-site, staged along the river at this location. During nighttime hours, the Contractor will be staged along the Left Descending Bank (LDB) out of the Atchafalaya River Channel.

The M/V OSCAR WALTERS can be contacted on VHF channels 13, 16 and 78.

Mariners are urged to transit at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
