Red River Lock 1 Repair Update

See the attached Sitrep.

The steel wedges are currently stuck in place Corps maintenance personnel tried moving the wedges like they were originally designed with the jack bolts. With the gate hanging in place weighing over 400,000 lbs and not being moved in a long time. They started working during weekend on designing and fabricating a "strong back," which is capable of hooking onto the arm of the gate and place a 100-ton hydraulic ram to press the wedges out. A crane will put the strong back in place tomorrow morning and if everything works as planned the wedge will be loosened allowing them to start adjusting the gate.

I will send out updates tomorrow as I receive them.
