Red River: Lock 1 Update

Good morning,
Gages were placed on Lock 1 after the temporary fix to monitor the tolerance of the construction. There has been slight movement in the gauge readings, indicating that the opening and closing of the lock are causing stress on the temporary fix. The gages are still within the tolerance zone. ERDC is replacing the gages this morning and will test the lock to be sure the temporary fix is holding. I will communicate the results sometime later this morning.

The Corps is using extreme caution in order not to cause more damage. I have no other information, but I will communicate the results of the new test ASAP.
