Red River Navigation Update

Lock 1 Lower Gage is at 20.96' a fall of 6.68' since 21 December.

ACME is at 17.93' a fall of 5.92' since 21 December, and projected to fall to 17.4' by 1 January.

Red River Landing (Mississippi River) is at 31.98' the same level since 21 December.
It is projected to fall to 25.4' by 10 January.

Pools:
** Shreveport is at 15.14', a fall of 3.36' since 21 December, but projected to rise to 16.0 by 30 December.
** Coushatta is at 24.72, a fall of 0.9' since 21 December and holding this level (pool is 24.2'). Trigger stage is 29'.
** Grand Ecore is at 20.72', a fall of 2.02' since 21 December and holding this level (pool is 20'). Trigger stage is 25'.
** Alexandria is at 20.64, a fall of 1.29' since 21 December and holding this level (pool is 19'). Trigger stage is 23' & Action 24'.

The 5 Day weather forecast indicates 3" to 4" of rain for the Red River Valley uncontrolled areas.
It is predicted for Thursday-Friday (29-30 Dec) and Monday-Tuesday (2-3 Jan).

At this time there is no need for any action and we will monitor river levels.

Tows are encouraged to report any problem areas, especially as the river falls.
