Red River Navigation Update

Lock 1 Lower Gage is at 25.28' a rise of 4.32' since 28 December.
ACME is at 21.22' a rise of 3.29' since 28 December, and projected to rise to 21.22' by 10 January.
Red River Landing (Mississippi River) is at 29.62' a fall of 2.36' since 28 December.
It is projected to rise to 38.8' by 17 January.
Pools:
** Shreveport is at 15.2', flat since 28 December, and projected to fall to 14.5' by 10 January.
** Coushatta is at 25.06, a slight rise of 0.34' since 28 December and holding this level (pool is 24.2'). Trigger stage is 29'.
** Grand Ecore is at 21.72', a rise of 1.00' since 28 December and projected to fall to 21.3' by 10 January (pool is 20'). Trigger stage is 25'.
** Alexandria is at 21.71', a rise of 1.07' since 28 December and projected to fall to 20.8' (pool is 19'). Trigger stage is 23' & Action 24'.
The 5 Day weather forecast indicates 1" to 2" of rain for the Red River Valley uncontrolled areas.
This should not have a major impact on river levels.
At this time there is no need for any action and we will monitor river levels.
Tows are encouraged to report any problem areas, especially as the river falls.
** USCG ANT Colfax will be underway Monday, 9 January, headed south to check the Gauntlet.
