Red River Navigation Update

Pools:
** Shreveport is at 20.27', and projected to crest at 24.1' on Sunday, 12 February (pools is at 14.0').
** Coushatta is at 26.6, and projected to rise to 27.8' (pool is 24.2'). Trigger stage is 29' & Action 31'
** Grand Ecore is at 25.91', and projected to rise to 27.6' (pool is 20'). Trigger stage is 25' & Action 27'
** Alexandria is at 24.94', and projected to remain over 24' (pool is 19'). Trigger stage is 23' & Action 24'.

Due to recent rains and high river stages the restrictions remain in place until levels fall below Action stage:
* Tow power is to be 500 HP per barge
* Daylight only through the Alexandria bridges
* Most dikes are under water and buoys are diving, so caution should be taken

The 5 Day weather forecast indicates .5" to 1.0" of rain for the Red River Valley uncontrolled areas.
