Red River Navigation Update
Pools:
** Shreveport is at 23.44', and projected to rise to 25.9' on Wednesday, March 15 (pools is at 14.0').
** Coushatta is at 27.77 and projected to rise to 28.7' on Wednesday March 15 (pool is 24.2'). Trigger stage is 29' & Action 31'
** Grand Ecore is at 26.78' and projected to rise to 28.8' on Wednesday March 15 (pool is 20'). Trigger stage is 25' & Action 27'
** Alexandria is at 24.54' and projected to rise to 25.5' on Wednesday (pool is 19'). Trigger stage is 23' & Action 24'.
Due to recent rains and high river stages the restrictions remain in place until levels fall below Action stage:
* Tow power is to be 500 HP per barge
* Daylight only through the Alexandria bridges
* Most dikes are under water and buoys are diving, so caution should be taken
The 5 Day weather forecast indicates .5" to 1.0" of rain for the Red River Valley uncontrolled areas.
