Repairs Gulf Intracoastal Waterway Algiers Lock

Mariners are advised that Algiers Lock will be closed to navigation from Monday, 4 May 2026, until Wednesday, 6 May 2026, from 7:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. each day, for a U.S. Government Maintenance Unit to perform emergency repairs on the canal end dolphin.

The Lockmaster at Algiers Lock, David A. Smith, can be reached at 504-402-0021 for up-to-date information (lock wall number is 504-354-1861).
