Many have been asking for the winter lock closure dates for the Upper Mississippi River.  Below are the dates for the Rock Island District Locks plus Locks 24 & 25:

Lock 12:            13-Dec-22 to 3-Mar-23 (Dewater Chamber)

Lock 13:            14-Dec-22 to 6-Jan-23 (Upper Anchorage Replacement)

Lock 15 Main:    3-Jan-23 to 3-Mar-23 (Miter Gate #2 Machinery Repairs) – Auxiliary Chamber will be open.

Lock 19:            19-Dec-22 to 3-Mar-23 (Contract work)

Lock 21:            23-Dec-22 to 11-Jan-23 - 70’ width restriction and will be locking on the I-wall during this period– will also be closed from 0600-1700 during that time period (locking only at night) - helper boat required to pull cuts.

12-Jan-23 to 2-Mar-23 - Complete Lock Closure (Contract work)

Lock 22:            3-Jan-23 to 12-Jan-23 - 70’ width restriction - helper boat required

13-Jan-23 to 2-Mar-23 - Complete Lock Closure (Contract work)

Lock 24:            Dates are not final but would be less than 45 days and will align with Locks 21, 22 & 25 full closures: approximatly 13-Jan-23 to 2-Mar-23  - Miter gate repairs and dewater lock.

Lock 25:            Dates are not final but would be no more than 45 days and will align with Locks 21, 22 & 24 full closures: approximatly 13-Jan-23 to 2-Mar-23 – Lower guide wall repairs

Note, the official Nav Notices are pending for all locks / dates.

St. Paul locks, Mel Price Main chamber & Lock 27 Main chamber dates are still pending and we will get that out as soon as possible.
