Notice Number: 214939 / MVN 26-82
Effective: 08/21/2026 11:30 thru UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE CDT

Mariners are urged to exercise caution when transiting the East and West Calumet Floodgates due to heavy siltation on the approaches to the floodgates on the Wax Lake Outlet side, which may create unsafe navigation conditions during periods of lower water levels.

The East and West Calumet Floodgates are located on Bayou Teche at approximately mile 5, just east of Wax Lake Outlet.

All vessels can contact the lockmaster, Randy Daigle at (985) 384-6334 for up-to-date information.
